Kevin Innes

Role:

Responsible for the management and delivery of the EPP Programme and Managing the Player Pathway Coaching Teams. Reports to the CDM for most activities but also to the County Club Academy Performance Coach.

Background:

One of just 80 level 4 coaches within the ECB. Kevin has a wide range of coaching experience. He has been to India on the Denis Lillee fast bowling programme, Australia on the Terry Jenner spin bowling programme and to La Mange with the ICC. He has also spent two winters coaching in New Zealand and is the current Northants County fielding coach. Kevin is also part of the Northamptonshire Coach Education team as he is a qualified tutor and assessor.

Played for Little Houghton Cricket Club as a youngster under Coach Paul Hibbersome and made the County Youth Squads up to age 16 when he was given a professional contract by Northants. Whilst on the Academy he played at Wellingborough Town CC and he stayed with the County until he was twenty five before moving to Sussex County CC. Three years later he made the return journey being appointed Elite Performance Coach here at Northants.

Kevin’s professional highlights include winning the County Championship Division 1 with Sussex in 2003, scoring 100 against Nottinghamshire as a 12thman,trhe first and only time this feat has been achieved (click here to see full story),  taking 5 wickets against Middlesex at Lords to win the game and appearing for England as 12th man against Pakistan.
