New General Data Protection Regulations to affect Cricket Clubs from May
As you may have heard, from 25th May 2018 new regulations come into force concerning how organisations gather, store, share and dispose of information. These regulations may have implications for your Cricket Club.
The ECB have worked with Data Protection lawyers to provide guidance for clubs with the introduction of the new GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations).
We are not in a position to offer direct advice on legal, commercial or financial matters, however this summary document has been created to highlight the areas you may have to address. We will also follow up shortly with an FAQs document and some templates that you may find useful.
It is important that your volunteers responsible for handling data are aware of the updates that may impact your privacy policies, processes for obtaining consent and data storage.
