After an incredible reception for our series of 2016 “Steeler Summer Camps”, Northants Recreational Cricket is excited to announce its 2017 Camps. In response to feedback from our customers, we have tweaked the layout of the festivals to better suit young players, and will now be offering two kinds of Summer Camp: Hardball camps aimed at experienced hardball cricketers, and softball camps for our younger or less established participants. Both programs will be 3 days (9:30am – 4pm) planned by our experienced and qualified staff to meet the needs of each group, and are open to both boys and girls.

Both groups attendees will receive

  • A goody bag containing a signed photo of a Northants Steelbacks player, a T-Shirt, Steeler camp wristband, Northants pen and flag, Cricket ball (hard or soft, dependant on camp) and more
  • A free family ticket to one day of a home County Championship game of their choice
  • A certificate of attendance
  • A visit from Steeler (softball camps) or an NCCC player (hardball camps)*
  • Every camp which will have its own different unique prize to be won, such as kit and clothing from a Northants Steelback or England player

Hard Ball Camps

Overseen by the same coaches responsible for our player pathway and elite coaching, these camps are aimed at experienced club boys and girls and above aged 8-14. These camps would not be suitable for players with little or no hardball experience. Players will undertake skill drills, practice and net sessions, as well as fitness and tactical sessions.

Soft Ball Camps

Designed by the same staff as run our schools and kwik cricket programmes, soft ball camps will consist of fun games, competitions and activities as well fundamental movement drills and exercises. These camps are open to boys and girls aged 5-13

All camps will include contingency for wet weather.
